We provide a full and comprehensive recovery focused rehabilitation programme for service users to assist in the preparation for discharge into the community.
There is step down provision for male service users, female service users and male service users with acquired brain injury all of which are accommodated in separate buildings at Guild Lodge.
All units focus on social inclusion, daily living skills and continuing work that remains an obstacle to eventual discharge into the community. The approach is recovery led, focussing on the skills and abilities that service users have and we aim to assist them in developing these further aiding improvements in self-esteem and confidence. The teams draw from the many skills of the multi-disciplinary team including medical, nursing, psychological, occupational therapy, social work and other specialist professionals when needed, working within a common framework.
The team realise how vital structure, education and activity are in maintaining mental health well-being, providing opportunity onsite and within local areas. Work also focusses on relapse prevention including identifying relapse signatures and identifying appropriate coping strategies useful to maintain mental health well-being.
- The female unit (Forest Beck) is an open facility with staffing levels to ensure service users have the available support they need when required
- The male unit (Fellside) is a 20 bedded unit which can and currently does operate as 2 units one of which is locked and the other an open facility, plus 5 separate self-contained flat lets.
- Male acquired brain injury step down unit (The Hermitage) is an 8 bedded facility with an option of being locked or open dependent upon service user clinical need. View the AccessAble accessibility guide for Hermitage.
