We are celebrating being the leading place to work for nurses after winning a prestigious national award.
The Trust was named ‘Best UK Employer of the Year for Nursing Staff’ at the Nursing Times Workforce Awards held in London last night (Tuesday 21 November). The awards recognise and reward the excellent work being done by employers to support the nursing workforce.
We were recognised for our efforts in embedding a nursing career pathway from entry level, to nursing associate, to registered nurse then to advanced practice. This means nursing staff can grow and develop at LSCft and the Trust is able to retain a highly-skilled nursing workforce.
Our Interim Chief Nurse and Quality Officer, Julie Anne Murray, said:
