We are celebrating after being shortlisted for two top industry accolades at this year’s Health Service Journal (HSJ) Awards.
Officially announced this week, the Trust is a finalist for the Mental Health Innovation category for its ‘Advice and Guidance’ work, which is a new clinical advice system for GPs, and the Staff Engagement category for Inspiring Culture Change through Inclusive Engagement.
Our work on ‘Advice and Guidance’ is the development of a new electronic messaging system that allows GPs to get rapid clinical advice from a secondary care specialist, instead of having to make a formal referral to that service. We have implemented this solution to help relieve pressures on waiting lists for mental health services. This is the first major use of the platform within mental health.
Chief Executive at LSCft, Caroline Donovan said:
“After a challenging 18 months, it’s absolutely fantastic that we have been recognised by the HSJ and shortlisted in two categories.
This is the result of a lot of hard work, reflecting the excellent teams we are lucky to have working here at LSCft.
It’s wonderful that our push for innovation and improvement and our work to generate a truly inclusive culture, one that puts service users at the heart of everything we do, has been recognised by the HSJ. Best of luck to all!”
The annual 2021 HSJ Awards will be held at Evolution London on November 18.
