Fylde Coast residents requiring mental health support will now be able to call the Initial Response Service (IRS) after a helpline number has officially gone live in the area.
After today (Wednesday 20 September), people who live in Blackpool, the Fylde and surrounding areas will be able to call one number, 0800 013 0709, which is staffed by our colleagues 24 hours a day, seven days a week, if they are in need of mental health assistance or in crisis.
This has followed the successful rollout in the Pennine, Central and West and The Bay localities.
Our Chief Operating Officer, Emma McGuigan, said:
“It is fantastic to see the IRS is now live at another location, meaning we are better able to meet the varied needs of anyone requiring access to mental health support.
Whether it be an immediate response, routine appointment booking or even advice on how to access additional information, people will be able to call one phone number and receive the response they need."
