The Triangle of Care is how service users, carers and professionals can work better together.
The Triangle of care is good because:
- It helps to keep service users safe
- It helps service users to get better
- It helps both the service user and carers wellbeing
- It helps to support the carer
There are six standards of the Triangle of Care
We involve the service user's carer from the beginning
We train our staff to learn about carers
We follow rules about sharing service user information
We have carer champions in teams to support carers
We explain services and what they do with carers
We share information about support organisations with carers
If we follow all standards we can better support all carers
